How to Create a Portable Backup Company File in QuickBooks Desktop

Here are the steps:
  1. Go to the File menu and choose Create Copy.


  2. Choose Portable company file and click Next.


  3. Enter a unique file name and select the location where to save the portable file. Click Save.


  4. A pop-up window will appear prompting you to close and reopen the company file. Click OK.


  5. Send your backup file to Accountable Numbers
