How to Give Accountable Numbers Access to Bank Accounts and Credit Card Websites

Here are a few suggestions to facilitate a seamless and rapid transfer of data from bank, credit card, and e-commerce platforms.

  • Add Accountable Numbers as a user to your online banking portal.
    • Depending on your bank, you may have the option to grant access through your bank’s website. You can log in to create a new user and adjust the access level. Otherwise, you may have to contact your banker to give us authorized access.
    • To perform bank reconciliations, we need to be able to export bank transactions, view check images, and pull PDF statements.
    • If asked, please use [YOURCOMPANYNAME]@accountablenumbers.com as the email address for our user account. (NOTE: Refer to your implementation checklist in the client portal for the specific email address.)

  • Sign in to your credit card online accounts and add Accountable Numbers as a user.
    • We need access to view and export transactions, and pull PDF statements.
    • If asked, please use [YOURCOMPANYNAME]@accountablenumbers.com as the email address for our user account. (NOTE: Refer to your implementation checklist in the client portal for the specific email address.)

  • Prepare a list of any other platforms your company uses for spending and receiving money.
    • We will request access to these accounts as well, so it is helpful if your team has already created a list of all platforms.
    • Examples: Credit Card Merchant Banks, Square, Shopify, inventory systems, online giving portals, Bill.com, Venmo, PayPal, etc.
Note: When setting up our profile on your these websites, please disable the ability for our team to make bank transfers (both internal and external). This is a control we put in place to protect our clients and our employees.
